PACS APPLIANCE AND WORKSTATION

AMS “PACS-in-a-BOX” products are a combination of hardware and software. They are designed to handle the needs of physician offices, clinics and small imaging groups which have one to five imaging modalities (for example, x-ray and ultrasound).

Assuming that there will be limited IT expertise at these facility, AMS has simplified the installation, training and support processes. Installation and training can easily be accomplished in a single day and almost all on-going support is handled remotely via the Internet. “PACS-in-a-BOX” solutions can be interconnected to electronic medical records systems (“EMR”) and/or scheduling and billing systems.

PACS-1M, the Single Modality PACS

PACS-1M is a true single modality PACS and image display solution. PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) is the universal medical term for the digital imaging networks and equipment. It is based on DICOM, an international standard. If you select solutions that use this standard, you are not locked to one vendor's solution as your practice grows.

PACS-1M includes:
Diagnostic Workstation Software
20.4” 2 Megapixel Color LCD Monitor
Single Modality Input
Image Gateway Software
25,000 14” x 17” Archive
DVD Backup Software

PACS-3M, for the Multi-Modality Practice

PACS-3M doubles the archive capacity of the “1M” model and takes input from up to three modalities. In addition, PACS-3M has a CD/DVD burner and labeler that adds an important professionalism to your communications. Finally, this package includes Three LAN licenses to provide “electronic viewboxes” in key areas of your clinic, such as patient exam rooms. Additional LAN licenses can be added.

PACS-3M includes:
Diagnostic Workstation Software
20.4” 2 Megapixel Color LCD Monitor
Three Modality Input
Image Gateway Software
50,000 14” x 17” Archive
DVD Backup Software
External CD burner/labeler
3 LAN Software Licenses

PACS-5M, the PACS for the Busiest Clinic

Great software must be coupled with the proper hardware to solve your requirements. In PACS-5M we use a more advanced and faster processor to handle the significantly greater workload we would expect to find in the busiest physician offices and clinics. PCS-5M takes input from up to five modalities. PACS-5M also comes with an automated DVD/CD recorder and labeler to save valuable office time. Five WEB/LAN licenses to provide “electronic viewboxes” in key areas of your clinic, such as patient exam rooms, or outside via the internet are included. Additional LAN licenses can be added.

PACS-5M Includes:
Diagnostic Workstation Software
20.4” 2 Megapixel Color LCD Monitor
Five Modality Input
Image Gateway Software
50,000 14” x 17” Archive

Designed specifically for the small practice

Large and small institutions have different healthcare system needs. While cost is an issue for both large and small practices, the ability to amortize costs over a larger number of studies is a luxury smaller practices simply do not have. Their operating and system costs must be kept to a minimum.

Smaller practices typically lack extensive IT staff. Their PACS systems must be reliable and easy-to-use; complex systems deployed in larger practices and institutions are simply impractical for the small practice.

In addition, small practices are highly focused on profitability. As a result, they continually strive to be more efficient in getting the information they need to maintain quality patient care.

Therefore, any PACS system must help reduce costs, decrease staff workload, and enhance the reading experience of its medical users.

Until now, the big question was how you could store, distribute, diagnose and share radiographic images with patients and referring professionals in an organized and cost-effective manner. Also important was how such a system could be installed and how personnel could be trained quickly and without major disruption to your practice.

Pick a solution from our PACS-in-a-Box family. We have three solutions that are essentially “plug and play”. They include the key features you need:

Archive - A safe method for storing your images. PACS-5M, for example, can hold the equivalent of 100,000 14”x17” sheets of x-ray film. That's years of storage for the typical small practice.

Image Gateway - The central point for the receipt and distribution of all of your digital images. You can connect multiple devices (modalities, display stations, etc.).

Backup - A method of backing up the same images that are stored in the on-line hard drive. These solutions use either an external USB hard drive or a DVD backup system. They run automatically.

DVD/CD CREATION - A method to create and label DVD/CD's with patients’ images for distribution to patients or other medical professionals. These DVD/CD's have an advanced viewing program that self-starts when the DVD/CD is inserted into a Windows based PC.

Communications - Licenses for remote viewing within your facility (LAN). This allows you to use inexpensive PC's or WIFI-enabled tablet PC's to display images in your patient exam rooms. Web access is also available.

Workstation A diagnostic quality workstation for your interpretation work. Our diagnostic workstation software includes the imaging tools you need to get the most out of your images (window, level, zoom, pan, annotation, measure length, angle, invert, rotate and more).

Connectivity - to your CR and/or DR imaging systems.
