PACS-in-a-BOX Solutions

AMD's “PACS-in-a-BOX” products are geared to meet the needs of the small to mid-sized practice.  Coupled with AMD- supplied hardware, these are complete solutions specifically tailored to practices with limited IT expertise.

Catella DICOM Viewing Solution – Single users can receive DICOM images and store images in an MS Access® database. Software allows you to record a CD and print to a network printer.  IMAGE

Catella Multi-User 5.0 PACS Solutions for Small Practices is available in two versions:

Catella PACS-1M – This software solution provides a full featured diagnostic workstation, SQL database archive and complete reporting software.  Connect up to three modalities to this PACS. You can add up to two additional viewing licenses to this configuration.  Hardware is also valuable featuring Dell® computers. IMAGE

Catella PACS-5M – Our “5-M” solution provides viewing solutions for “anywhere, any time”.  In addition to all the features of the “1M”, we have added 5 concurrent, browser-based viewing licenses. Unlike older applet type licenses, these are really portable.  Simply connect to the specified IP address and images and tools are available to registered users.

Our Catella 5.0 software records all activities so that you can track activity. We even allow you to auto-logout users who are inactive. Therefore our current licenses really mean more user access per license than the older applet style.  Hardware solutions are also available, featuring Dell® computers.

Need a larger user base, then add more concurrent licenses.  Have heavier users, then add more full diagnostic licenses.  The Catella PACS-5M platform provides solutions for today and growth opportunities for tomorrow.

Catella 5.0 software offers a variety of upgrades and options including:

·         Automated CD recording and labeling using Duet, Primera or Rimage hardware.IMAGE

·         Image Acquisition Software for:

o   Film Digitizing using Vidar hardware. IMAGE

o   Paper Scanning using Twain-compliant paper scanner. IMAGE

o   Non-DICOM to DICOM conversion

o   Video Capture…and more

·         3D Viewing – fully integrated in Catella 5.0 and provided by Shina Systems. IMAGE

Even the basic package is anything but basic.  Consider our full reporting feature that provides a full dictation and transcription workflow.  You create standard report templates, including images in reports and customize headers.  All reports are stored in the DICOM archive and are available whenever images are accessed.

But Catella 5.0 goes further.  The system can display almost any DICOM attribute that is sent by a modality.  Whether a highly specialized medical department or veterinary practice, your special DICOM tags can be on screen to give you the information needed to quickly access a patient’s image.

And for the orthopedic or chiropractic user, Catella 5.0 provides a wider variety of specialty measurement tools including arcs, specialty angles (horizon, orthogonal, cobb) markers (cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral), and other specialty lines.

Enterprise Multi-user Solutions

Catella MIDAS provides solutions for larger practices and hospitals.  Using server class software and exterprise SQL databases, Catella MIDAS' archive  can be expanded to nearly an unlimited size, with concurrent licenses to meet user requirements.  Build the software solution for your current needs, but be assured that it can grow as your needs change.

In addition to all the basic and upgradable software features offered with our “5-M” solution, MIDAS can also add:

·       Modality Work List integration.

·       Patient Scheduling and Database development.

·       HL-7 Integration

·       RIS solutions with select 3rd party partners

Midas also features viewing solutions for “anywhere, any time”.

MODALITY WORKLIST

Handling the "gap" between an EMR or RIS system and an imaging modality is a function called "modality worklist" or MWL. The object is to take the exact patient information input at the front desk and place that information in the DICOM header so that patient records and patient images match. It also saves expensive clerical time.

To fill this gap, AMD has developed solutions to fit two situations: 1) where the EMR or RIS cannot export patient demographic information AND 2) where there is no EMR or RIS but the facility wants to create a common, consistent patient demographic database from which all of their imaging modalities can pull information.

IMAGE GATEWAYS & ROUTERS

Catella Image Gateways and Routers direct traffic throughout the PACS enterprise.  Our flexible rules-based systems allow you to address special institutional needs cost- effectively.  One example is the use of an image router coupled with a Catella workstation to eliminate the need for separate archives in small satellite clinics.  This assures local up-time no matter the condition of the WAN, while saving tens of thousands of dollars on archive expenses.

CATELLA WEB SERVERS

Catella Web Server enables you to automatically and securely send images across the Internet anywhere in the world. Whether you need to have images sent to a referring physician 1,000 miles away or to an on-call doctor at 3:00 AM for a “wet read”, Catella Web Server software will give you the flexibility you need to improve overall patient care. Licensed WEB clients can also access your central archive from remote locations.

PACS "ACCESSORIES"

CD RECORDERS AND LABELERS

Catella CD Recorders and Labelers provide your facility with the ability to duplicate a patient's images quickly and efficiently. These units are ideal for providing images to referring physicians, patients and back-up needs.

We offer both a manual-loading single disk unit and a robotic multi-disk “volume” model.

DOCUMENT SCANNER

The digital radiology office needs methods for providing complete information “packages” to the interpreting physician. Catella Docu-Scan™ is a cost-effective solution to help you meet this need.

Important patient documents, including patient histories, reports, and lab studies, can be integrated with the patient’s DICOM image file.

The Catella Docu-Scan station uses our exclusive one-step BatchScan™ that allows you to automate the DICOM header creation, scan uncounted groups of documents, and send the resulting files anywhere on your network.

FILM DIGITIZING (SCANNER) SYSTEMS

OFFSITE FILM STORAGE AND SCAN-ON-DEMAND

You have a legal requirement to keep patient films or their digitized versions. A general rule-of-thumb is that general radiographs must be kept for 7 years (or until the patient turns 21-years old, whichever is longer) or for the life of the patient, in the case of mammograms.

Freeing up storage space saves overhead and reducing long-term offsite storage also carries a financial reward.

AMD provides low cost physical offsite storage for your film records, coupled with our Scan-on-Demand™ service that allows you to get digitized copies of patient images when needed.
