AMD's “PACS-in-a-BOX” products are a combination of hardware and software.
Each one is a complete PACS solution. Each is designed to handle the needs
of physician offices, clinics and imaging groups that have one to five
imaging modalities (for example, X-ray, CR, DR, Ultrasound, CT or MR).
Assuming that there is limited IT expertise at facilities of this size, AMD
has simplified its installation and training protocol to as little as one
day. Ongoing support is handled remotely via the Internet. “PACS-in-a-BOX”
solutions can be interconnected to electronic medical records systems (“EMR”)
and/or scheduling and billing systems.

PACS-1M
PACS-1M is a true single modality PACS and image display solution. PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) is the universal medical term for digital imaging networks and equipment. It is based on DICOM, an international standard. If you select solutions that use this standard, you are not locked into one vendor's solution as your practice grows.

PACS-3M doubles the archive capacity of the “1M” model and takes input from up to three modalities. MPR is a standard feature. In addition, PACS-3M has a CD burner and labeler that adds an important professionalism to your communications. Finally, this package includes three Clinical Review (LAN) software licenses to provide “electronic viewboxes” in key areas of your clinic, such as patient exam rooms. Additional Clinical Review licenses can be added as needed.

PACS-5M uses a more advanced and faster processor to handle the significantly greater workload we would expect to find in the busiest physician offices and clinics. It will store the equivalent of 2TB of images. PACS-5M takes input from up to five modalities and comes with a robotic CD burner/labeler to save valuable office time. Our Web Server software is included as well as 5 Clinical Review licenses that can be used at either internal or remote locations. No separate Web Server is required! Add more LAN/WEB licenses as needed.

MIDAS PACS is the answer for a cost-effective, easily maintained PACS for larger facilities and imaging centers. MIDAS takes all of the key elements of our largest Catella PACS solutions and packages them in a manageable size. You need the same functionality as the largest hospital-based digital networks, but not the complexity or the cost.

CD Creation - An external CD recorder and color printer makes copies of patient images for patients and/or medical professionals. It prints a color label and automatically adds the patient name and ID.

Catella’s OrthoCAD was designed by surgeons to provide a better way to conduct procedure planning. Preoperative planning is recognized as an essential step in elective surgery and as an important component in trauma surgery.
With OrthoCAD, surgeons develop pre-operative surgery plans. OrthoCAD allows
clinical manipulation of digital orthopedic images utilizing the best in
image processing techniques.

Handling the "gap" between an EMR or RIS system and an imaging modality is a function called "modality worklist" or MWL. The object is to take the exact patient information input at the front desk and place that information in the DICOM header so that patient records and patient images match. It also saves expensive clerical time.
To fill this gap, AMD has developed solutions to fit two situations: 1) where the EMR or RIS cannot export patient demographic information AND 2) where there is no EMR or RIS but the facility wants to create a common, consistent patient demographic database from which all of their imaging modalities can pull information.
Catella Image Gateways and Routers direct traffic throughout the PACS enterprise. Our flexible rules-based systems allow you to address special institutional needs cost- effectively. One example is the use of an image router coupled with a Catella workstation to eliminate the need for separate archives in small satellite clinics. This assures local up-time no matter the condition of the WAN, while saving tens of thousands of dollars on archive expenses.
Catella Web Server enables you to automatically and securely send images across the Internet anywhere in the world. Whether you need to have images sent to a referring physician 1,000 miles away or to an on-call doctor at 3:00 AM for a “wet read”, Catella Web Server software will give you the flexibility you need to improve overall patient care. Licensed WEB clients can also access your central archive from remote locations.
Catella CD Recorders and Labelers provide your facility with the ability to
duplicate a patient's images quickly and efficiently. These units are ideal
for providing images to referring physicians, patients and back-up needs.
We offer both a manual-loading single disk unit and a robotic multi-disk
“volume” model.
The digital radiology office needs methods for
providing complete information “packages” to the interpreting physician.
Catella Docu-Scan™ is a cost-effective solution to help you meet this need.
Important patient documents, including patient histories, reports, and lab
studies, can be integrated with the patient’s DICOM image file.
The Catella Docu-Scan station uses our exclusive one-step BatchScan™ that
allows you to automate the DICOM header creation, scan uncounted groups of
documents, and send the resulting files anywhere on your network.
Catella Scan software performs DICOM conversion and allows for selectable
instant-send destinations. The Catella Scan station incorporates our
exclusive one-step BatchScan™ that allows you to automate the DICOM header
creation, scan uncounted groups of patient films, and send the resulting
files anywhere on your network. Digitized images can also be sent over the
internet and/or directly to our Catella CD Burning Station. All images are
