Flexibility and VersatilityThe demands on medical IT solutions are growing, not only in the areas of performance, hygiene and flexibility, but also when it comes to the design standard and a high degree of future reliability. The OPERION concept fulfils these requirements and is pointing the way forward with its modular structure. The separation of the medically certified computer and monitor modules from the exterior casing is unique to the OPERION and offers substantial benefits. These include the OPERION's high degree of flexibility and it's ability to be upgraded to suit new requirements over the years .MaterialsThe surface materials that can be used, such as colored safety glass, polished or powdered stainless steel or CORIAN®, enable unique design possibilities to be created both in terms of color and shape.

An OPERION can be installed in or on a wall (see diagrams below). The spatial conditions, for example, existing niches from previous light boxes, can therefore be used to optimal effect. OPERION offers increased flexibility and new possibilities. Flush Mount - full wall - The OPERION WALL is provided as a complete wall module. The front of the module stretches from the floor to the ceiling. The system is tightly sealed on all sides. The only requirement for the installation is a niche with a minimum depth of 10 cm plus the material thickness of the front panel.
Before After Flush Mount - recessed - The OPERION NICHE is similar to the WALL except it is only installed in an existing or newly planned niche. The width and height are determined by the size of the display and the dimensions of an niche. The front panel is embedded into the wall flush to the surface.
Before After On-Wall - full wall - Like the OPERION WALL, the OPERION TOWER is a floor-to ceiling solution. However, the TOWER is installed in front of an existing wall and is completely encased on all sides. Because of its slender design the OPERION TOWER can be easily integrated into any operating theatre without any structural changes having to be made.
Before After On-Wall - solo - The OPERION BODY is very similar to an on-wall device. It can be easily integrated in any operating theatre. The width and height are determined by the size of the display and your wishes. The system modules are located in the interior of the OPERION BODY and are therefore completely protected.

The OPERION provides high performance and security in its PC components. A powerful industry mainboard serves as the foundation. In the standard configuration, the mainboard is equipped with an Intel® Core™ i5-520M processor and can be upgraded to an Intel® Core™ i7-620M. The main memory is scalable from 4 GB to 8 GB. The flexible configuration of the CPU, RAM, hard drive and other operations allows you to equip the OPERION to suit your precise requirements. An overview of the system specifications:
A wide variety of options are available. These include:

Multi signal video controller including 3G-SDI The many applications used in the hospital deliver images via a wide variety of signal paths. The OPERION models with a standard video controller provide a digital input (DVI-D) and an analogue input (VGA) for PC image sources, as well as extensive video inputs. (see figure below)Standard monitor controller
The advanced video controller provide additional video interfaces and loop options tailored to professional video applications, inclu ding a 3G/HD SDI interface (SMPTE 242M). (see figure below)Optional monintor controller with 3G and loops
Operating the monitor controller A
button to operate the monitor is required in many situations but can also be
extremely unwelcome in other situations. For this reason, the hygienic
behind-glass operation (see diagram) is optionally available for the
monitors. With this control panel, users have
hygienic behind glass monitor interface Picture-in-Picture FunctionWith the PiP function, different signal sources can be displayed in picture-in-picture mode. Another function is the picture-outsidepicture (PoP) function. This allows to display two full images in equal or different size. The proportion of main and sub images can be adjusted and you can easy toggle both sources.
